The Aquasana Shower Filter uses two stages to filter shower water:
Stage 1 - removes harmful chlorine and through a process that uses (KDF-55) a natural copper/zinc mineral media.
Stage 2 - removes VOCs (volatile organic chemicals) and synthetic chemicals through a carbonized coconut shell media. These chemicals could be absorbed through the skin inhaled through the skin which could cause negative health or cosmetic effects.
